Michael J. Kissel, Jr.

Michael J. Kissel, Jr., 83, of Salisbury Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. He was the loving husband of Gloria (Rau) Kissel, with whom he shared over 61 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Irene (Kilgour) Kissel. Michael was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, class of 1958. He went on to graduate from Moravian University. Michael worked for Acme for over 42 years until retiring. He enjoyed watching old tv shows and doing projects around the house. Above all, Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends. 

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Gloria, he will be remembered by his son Michael J. Kissel, III and his wife Tammy of Bethlehem; daughters Lisa L. Zelko and her husband Richard of Center Valley and Colleen L. Kissel of Allentown; sister Elizabeth Pichler of Bethlehem; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly L. Kissel. 

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M.and also on Tuesday from 12:30 P.M. until time of the service in the funeral home.
