Lorraine Shirley (Vasquez) Banko

Lorraine Shirley (Vasquez) Banko, 86, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Eugene E. Banko. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Florence (Litzenberger) Vasquez. Lorraine attended Liberty High School. She worked as a Supervisor in the Garment Industry for most of her life until retiring. Lorraine was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. She enjoyed her trips to the Casino but above all, she loved spending time with her family. 
 

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Bonnie Sankovsky and her husband Michael of Bethlehem; sons Eugene Banko and his husband Steven Toth of Bethlehem and Christopher Banko of Bethlehem; siblings Grace Horn, Mary Martucci, Robert Vasquez and his partner Linda and Manuel Vasquis and his wife Nancy all of Bethlehem; loving grandchildren Krista Kozak and her husband Chris and Adam Sankovsky and his wife Kaitlin both of Bethlehem; great grandchildren Della Kozak, Ryan Kozak and Aurora Sankovsky as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her siblings Lucille Ewaniak, Lester Vazquies, Rose Boyer, Dolores Vasquez, Loretta Burritt and Ruth Sciarra. 

 

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
