Krystyna Anne Pinel, 23, of Nazareth, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born in Flemington, NJ in 2000, she was the daughter of Robert and Janine (Kalescky) Pinel. She grew up in a world filled with the beauty of ballet, the drama of Broadway, the mythology of Percy Jackson, and the thrill of horror films. On the stage of her life, no role was too small or too large, and she embraced every opportunity with open arms and a radiant smile.
Krystyna’s love of performance began as young child when she was in Evita at Nazareth High School. Her performances continued at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, where she graduated first in her class in 2018. At CHARTS she pursued her love for theatre, honing her skills and nurturing her talents. She danced for years at Dolly Haltzman’s Dance Academy with the grace of a ballerina. She sang with the soul of a Broadway star and acted like a Shakespeare character.
Krystyna's next act took her to Pace University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in the class of 2022. At Pace, she continued to demonstrate her unwavering commitment to her craft. Embracing every challenge with grace and determination, she proved that the world was indeed a stage, and she was ready to conquer it.
Her post-graduation act took her to Curious Theatre Company in Denver, CO, where she served as a stage manager, and where she also pursued her passion for stage combat. She poured her heart and soul into every production, ensuring that each show was essential. Her creativity shone through, and her friendly nature made her a beloved figure among the cast and crew.
Offstage, Krystyna’s interests were as diverse as the roles she played. She enjoyed everything from Broadway shows to reality TV, show tunes, her beloved cats, and fashion. She was a voracious reader, always eager to dive into a new book or script. No matter what she was doing, she approached it with the same passion and dedication that she brought to her work.
Krystyna’s final curtain call came far too soon. Her life was an unfinished and sometimes messy masterpiece, filled with moments of joy, triumph, difficulties, and inspiration. She played her part with passion and creativity, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of sharing the stage with her. Though her performance has ended, her spirit will continue to inspire and motivate us. Let us remember her not with sadness, but with the joy and passion she brought to every performance.
