Keith Stephens Obituary

Keith A. Stephens, aka, Pone, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away at home on March 23, 2024, at the age of 68 after living with pancreatic cancer since October 2020. Born on September 10, 1955, in Allentown, Keith was committed to family, friends, work, and doing good for others.

 

Keith graduated from Freedom High School in 1974. He met the love of his life, Vicki L. (Briggs) Stephens in 1975 and they were married on October 15, 1977. He had two children he was very proud of, Rebecca Rosario (husband Adon) and Benjamin Stephens (wife Jessie) and his grandchildren: Raeya, Renna, Adon, Violet, Ivy, and Lionel.

 

Keith began his lifelong automotive career by working on his 1925 Paige in his parents driveway at the age of 14. After working at various body shops in Bethlehem and Allentown he opened Hampton Motors in Northampton in 1985. In 1990 he opened North Star Automotive in Bethlehem, which he operated until 2021.

 

Keith was a member of Salem UCC in Allentown as a youth and St. John's UCC in Laurys Station as an adult. He coached youth sports for LTAA in Lehigh Township for many years. Keith also belonged to the LV Collision Association, the Northampton Exchange Club, and the LV Model A Club.

 

Keith also enjoyed building, renovation, and design. He completely remodeled his home on Lehigh Drive. Designing and overseeing the building of North Star Automotive and his new carriage house and pole building were labors of love.

 

Keith's siblings, Mark Stephens (wife Linda), Sonia Stephens, Kirk Stephens (wife Lisa), and Heather Altenbach, will remember Keith’s love and support for them, He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Stephens, father, Fred J. Stephens Jr., and mother, Cecelia (Sutherland) Stephens.

 

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
