Joanne E. Groenewold

Joanne E. Groenewold, 83, of Bethlehem died Friday, November 18, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill.  Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Richard Breidinger and Annabelle (Beahm) Franklin and the step -daughter of the late Joseph Franklin.  A 1956 graduate of Liberty High School, Joanne was a teller at the former First Valley Bank for several years.  She also had been employed at Saucon Valley School District where she worked in the cafeteria and for several grocery stores in the Lehigh Valley.  She was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.  Joanne was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.  She was devoted to her children and she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughters, Christine M. Markovic of Allentown, Michele Bartchak of Northampton; son, Douglas K. Groenewold and his wife Melanie of Allentown; grandchildren, Cecily, Jessica, Brook, Jenna, Taylor, Rachelle, Loren, Kaylea, Lexi; great grandchildren, Brynlee, Myles, Preston, Cartor, Gabriella, Aylah, Arielle, Jayce, Jayvian. 

Service: Memorial Service 12:00PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill.  Family and friends may call from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in the funeral home.  Interment Bethlehem Memorial Park.
