Jessie Madura

Jessie Madura, 107, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  She was born on April 20, 1915 in Farrell, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Frank and Antonette (Basile) Scardina. She was a graduate of Farrell High School. She worked as a waitress for 47 years at the Shenango Inn and the Eagles Grille. She had 2 children, a daughter Sandy Bernard, and a son Frank Madura, with whom she lived.

She loved sewing, cooking, and watching car races, especially Nascar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew R. Madura, her 3 sisters, Elena, Mary & Jenny, her son-in-law, Dr Robert Bernard, and a Great Grand Daughter, Isabelle.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy of Mechanicsburg, son Frank, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services: Calling hours from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd, Bethlehem where the family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will be in Farrell, Pennsylvania at St. Anthony Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
