James J. McClafferty

James J. McClafferty, 60, of Wescosville died November 18, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus.  Born in Quuens, NY, he was the son of the late James J. and Margaret “Peggy” (McGowan) McClafferty.  After graduation from Hillcrest High School, Queens, NY, he attended The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, NY.  After moving to the Lehigh Valley James took a position as Manager and bartender at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bethlehem.  This was a position he held for 22 years before retiring.  A tax preparer, he also owned McClafferty Tax Service and previously had worked for H&R Block.  He was a faithful New York Giants and New York Mets fan.  

Survivors: Sister, Eileen wife of Roy “Chuck” Hoch of Kutztown; brothers, Thomas R. McClafferty and his wife Donna of Nesconset, NY, Charles McClafferty and his wife Lisa of NC; 2 nieces, 2 nephews; and beloved canine, Ginger.

Service: Graveside Service 11:00AM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.   Please record a memory at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.  There are no calling hours.  Arrangements are being handled by the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
