Elizabeth (Bette) Jane Dologite of Allentown died peacefully on May 27, 2023 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Dologite, Sr. who died in 1999. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, one of the seven children of Margaret and Lemuel Burnet.
Elizabeth was a real estate broker and appraiser and found time to be an extraordinary homemaker. She cooked, baked, preserved, and battled with groundhogs over her prolific Maxatawny vegetable garden. She painted and wallpapered that family’s restored farmhouse. She was a member of Macungie Baptist Church, sustained by her community of faith. Bette excelled at a great variety of crafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting and quilt making, creating innumerable gifts treasured by friends and family today.
She is survived by her children, daughter Carol Frederick and husband Ross Willows; daughter Constance and husband Dean Mendell and son Douglas Frederick and his wife Karen as well as her step son Gary Dologite and his wife Diane; step daughter in law Rosemary Dologite and her sisters Eleanor Kurtz and Peggy Yorgey, survive her. Bette was preceded in death by her siblings Sydney Clark, L. Robert Burnet, Jr., Ronald Burnet and C, Richard Burnet.
Bette doted on her five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
She will live on in the loving memory of her family and her many friends at The Macungie Baptist Church and The Fellowship Community.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service. A Committal Benediction will be offered at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery, Madison and Dewberry Ave. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
