My prayers and condolences go out to all of Jonathan’s family. I saw him grow up from kindergarten through ninth grade. He knew he had a place in my heart. I will remember his smile and laughs. I will cherish the talks we had on the way to school. My thoughts and prayers will continue for Manny’s recovery.

Dear Tony, Joz, Yesenia, and Nereida-
Words could never express the sympathies that all of you need at this time of grief. We will all cherish the memories of the children, each in their own special way. I will always remember Jonathan with his heart of gold and his great sense of humor. Boy could he make me laugh! I will never forget the day he decided to crawl under his desk to come to the front of the room. As I asked him to go back and come around the right way, he literally put his body in "reverse" right along with the "beep, beep, beep" signal. It was evident that he cherished the time he spent with his family. He would always come to class sharing what he did over the weekend, including how he got the black eye from the brothers all trying to throw the plunger up to the ceiling trying to get it to stick like they saw on the cartoons. Even after he left Donegan he would periodically visit me to tell me how he was doing, or run to greet me outside the babysitter's house. I will never understand why such an intelligent, caring, and comical life was taken the way it was. We can only have faith in knowing that he is looking down on us all now and that he knew how much he meant to all of us!
My deepest sympathies. May he rest in peace.
"Mrs. Scipio"
