Maryellen C. Beck

    Maryellen C. Beck, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  She and her husband Willard K. Beck were married August 20, 1994.

    Born in Tonoma, PA, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Beatrice “Trixie” Custer.  She was trained as a Nurse at the Hoff Hospital in Northampton.  Following a career as a nurse in various hospitals in the U.S., Maryellen worked for Weller Electric of Easton and later retired from Kraft Foods in Trexlertown.  She was a member of the Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church in Bethlehem, a former member of the choir and the Prime Timers.  Maryellen was a member of the Musical Arts Chorus of Easton, the Zion Choral Society and the American Bell Association, as well as an avid bell collector.

    Survivors:   husband; daughter, Eileen Riddell and her husband Jed of Narberth; sisters, Katherine Bachman of Bethlehem and Oletha Stickler of Allentown; grandsons, Tad, Rob and Ed Riddell of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Margurett Erich and brothers, Gerald, Harvey and Terry Custer.   

   Services: Funeral services Wednesday, March 17 at 11 AM in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem.  Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.longfuneralhome.com
