Phyllis F. Lentz

   Phyllis F. Lentz, 53, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Twp, after a long illness.

    Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Paul J. and Phyllis M. (Turner) Zimmer of Philadelphia.  She was a graduate of North East High School in Philadelphia.  Phyllis was a secretary for St. Luke’s Hospital for the past 6 years.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem and sang in the choir.  Phyllis was a loving and devoted mother with an exceptional talent for sewing and needlework.

    Survivors: parents; son, W. Scott Lentz and his fiancé Jordan Pluck of Shillington; daughter, Tracy M. Lentz of Bethlehem; older brother, Glenn P. Zimmer, his wife Janet and their daughter Kristen Hettel of North Wales; younger sister, Carol J. Caruso, her husband Michael and their son Michael of Elkins Park. She was also survived by her former husband, Rev. J. William Lentz, Jr., of Bethlehem.

    Services:  Celebration of the Life of Phyllis F. Lentz will be held Monday, Feb. 22, at 11 AM in Wesley United Methodist Church, 2540 Center St, Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of service.  Arrangements entrusted to the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.  Online condolences may be made at www.longfuneralhome.com
