Nyasia M. Echevarria, 7, was the daughter of Juan Echevarria and Jozlyn Vargas of Bethlehem. She was the older of the two girls who lost their lives in the fire at the family home.
    Nyasia was a student at Spring Garden Elementary School in the second grade. Nyasia loved everybody and loved looking in the mirror. She will be missed for her out-going personality.
 
Survivors: in addition to their parents and stepparents, are brothers Juan Echevarria, Jr., Giovanni Echevarria, Eric Hidalgo, and Manuel Garcia; sister, Jasmine Lozada; Yesenia’s parents, Anita Cruz and Jose Manuel Colón; Juan’s mother, Ana Echevarria; Jozlyn’s parents, Nereida Quinones and Carlos Vargas; and multitudes of aunts, uncles and cousins that loved them.
 
Services: Visitation Saturday, March 15, 2008, from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon in the El Shaddai Bethlehem Ministries, 629 E. Broad St, Bethlehem. Their funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the El Shaddai Church. Following the burial at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, there will be a luncheon from 3-5 PM in the Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be made at www.longfuneralhome.com
