Clayton Alderfer Obituary
Clayton P. Alderfer, 75, of Belle Mead, NJ, passed away, Friday, October 30, 2015, at home, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Charleen (Frankenfield) Alderfer. They celebrated 53 years of marriage this past July.
Born in Sellersville, he was the only child of the late Paul and Ruth (Buck) Alderfer. Clayton graduated from Liberty High School in 1958 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree and PhD from Yale University. He was a Professor, Researcher, Author and Consultant. He taught Organizational Behavior at Cornell, Yale for 24 years, where he also served as Associate Dean in the School of Management and later at Rutgers University for 14 years, until his retirement. Survivors: wife, Charleen; daughter, Kate Alderfer-Candela and her husband, Michael of Maynard, MA; son, Benjamin P. Alderfer and his wife, Sara of Keene, NH; 5 grandchildren, Madelyn, Abigail, Olivia, Claire and Myles.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem where friends may call from 1 to 2 PM. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
