A funeral represents a purposeful
opportunity to reflect on the meaning of a life that has been lived,
and to determine the impact of that life on their family and friends.
There are many funeral service options available to families
who select burial as the final disposition of their loved one. A
traditional funeral service consists of a time for a private or public
viewing of the deceased, a funeral service to remember and honor them,
followed by a procession to the cemetery for a graveside ceremony to
formally say goodbye. Within this framework, there are numerous
variations by which to specifically tailor a funeral service to respect
the wishes of the decedent and their family. Many of our families
choose a burial package such as:
- 2 Hour Evening Viewing with Next Day Funeral Service and Graveside Service
This nighttime public viewing period provides an opportunity for
friends and family to gather together to mourn, comfort each other and
remember a life which was lived well. A funeral service the following
day (in church or the funeral home) with the body present can be
personalized to reflect the life and interests of the decedent, as well
as their impact on the lives of others. The funeral service is normally
followed by a procession to the cemetery and a graveside service to
formally inter the decedent.
- 1 Hour Viewing & Funeral Service with Graveside Service
This option provides for a public visitation time followed by the
funeral service (in church, funeral home, or other location) with the
body present. After a procession to the cemetery, the decedent is
properly interred with a graveside service at the cemetery.
- Private Family Viewing and/or Graveside Service, followed by a Memorial Service
A meaningful way to have both private family time and a public
ceremony, this option allows the family to privately mourn for their
loved one, and to limit the size of the graveside ceremony. The family
will often follow the graveside committal ceremony with a public
memorial service at church or another location.
- Basic Burial with Graveside Service
In cases where the family does not wish to view the body, a burial can
be performed with a graveside service to honor their loved one. This
service can be as elaborate or as simple as the family chooses.
- Basic Burial (No Ceremonies)
A direct burial of the body, but without any formal ceremony. A family member often witnesses the burial.
- Customized Services
Your individual wishes and desires might include a combination of
several items explained above. Your funeral service professional will
assist you in arranging the specific set of goods and services that
